Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant I to assist residents with activities of daily living and maintain a safe, clean environment under direction of a registered nurse in our Assisted Living units.

Required: high school diploma, completion of NAI program, and at least one year of relevant experience; basic computer skills for documentation are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of NAI program; listed with the nurse aide registry as NA I.
• Medication Safety - AME required.
• State-approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living as scheduled.
• Report changes in status to the Charge Nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment under supervision of a registered nurse.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High school diploma, required. Completion of NAI program, required.
• Experience: One year of relevant experience, preferred. One year required, Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living
• Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, Required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, Required. Medication Safety - AME, Required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, Required.
• Additional skills preferred: Basic computer skills for documentation.
