Certified Nursing Assistant - Evening Shift

STGi is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide services to our Georgia War Veterans Home.

Job Summary:

The general duty of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan and as directed by supervisors.

Essential Functions:

• Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Report all changes in the resident's condition to the Charge Nurse/Nurse Supervisor as soon as practical.
• Weigh residents in accordance with their care plan.
• Report significant weight changes to the Charge Nurse/Nurse Supervisor.
• Measure and document residents' vital signs and intake/output.
• Maintain residents' water pitchers and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist residents with meals, personal care, mobility, and activities.
• Support residents with mental health and psychosocial needs, including those with trauma or PTSD.
• Assist with exams, tests, procedures, and transportation to appointments.
• Perform other routine nursing tasks as outlined in the detailed responsibilities.

Required Experience:

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to assess patient condition and react swiftly in emergencies.
• Effective communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records, and computer skills.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training and competency evaluation program.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed CNA in Georgia.
