Job summary

Care Choice of Boerne is seeking a Nursing Assistant to care for residents in a designated unit. You will follow the interdisciplinary care plan, assist with grooming, hygiene, meals and restorative activities, and communicate with licensed staff to ensure consistent, compassionate care.

You must read and write, have a high school education or be in a certification program, and be prepared to work shifts as needed to support staffing and resident needs.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and follow instructions; HS education preferred.
• Enrollment in a state-certified nursing assistant program is preferred.
• Ability to follow the Interdisciplinary Care Plan and provide basic care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily care, grooming and meals according to the care plan.
• Maintain clean, safe resident areas and provide privacy and dignity.
• Record observations daily on required records and attend required meetings.
• Work with licensed staff to coordinate care and respond to emergencies.
• Take vitals as assigned and support restorative and activity programs.
