Job summary

Care Choice of Boerne seeks a Nursing Assistant to care for residents in a designated area of the facility. You will follow the Interdisciplinary Care Plan, assist with daily living activities, and support psychosocial needs to maintain a home-like environment.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and follows oral instructions.
• Certification process must be completed within state deadlines.
• Must be ready to begin duties on time and as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Signs in on Unit Assignment Sheet.
• Review changes on Group Assignment Sheets and receive reports from Licensed Staff.
• Check residents, perform rounds, and plan to meet all needs during the shift.
• Assist residents with meals, toileting, grooming, and daily care.
• Provide privacy and dignity during care and follow restorative plans.
• Assist in dining areas, promote adequate nutritional intake, and supervise meal service as needed.
• Transport used trays following infection control policies.
• Coordinate activities and residents' time with staff and family visits.
• Respond to call lights promptly and assist with care as indicated.
• Encourage participation in recreational activities and ensure hydration.
