Rehab is an 18 bed in patient Acute Rehab program that is CARF (Commission for the Accreditation of Rehab facilities) accredited. This skilled team has experience working with many types of impairments resulting from spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, amputations, arthritis, stroke, fractures, multiple trauma, neuromuscular disease and other orthopedic/neurologic diagnoses. Our nursing staff is a combination of RN’s, C.N.A’s and Unit Secretaries. We work collaboratively with the Rehab Physiatrist, patients and their support systems, therapy staff, social workers, discharge planners, chaplains and dietitians. Our average daily census is approximately 13 patients and our average length of stay for our patients is approximately 13 days. We offer intensive Rehabilitation nursing 7 days per week 24 hours per day and the emphasis is maximizing the patient’s health and independence. This position is responsible for providing assistance with patient care activities and non-nursing tasks under the direct supervision of the RN and in cooperation with other nursing staff. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including child through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
