Job summary

Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for in-home care in Reno, NV. The role is a 1099 independent contractor position with a day shift schedule on Mondays and Wednesdays, helping patients with daily living activities according to a physician plan of care.

Applicants should hold current CPR and First Aid certifications, have a TB test and physical, and be able to monitor vitals.

We are looking for a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Reno, NV to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients’ homes in accordance with a physician established care plan.

Pay

$20-22/hr + $1,000 bonus after 90 days

Shift

Day shift. Mondays and Wednesdays, 8am - 4pm, we expect to open up a few more shifts!

Responsibilities

• Work with the patient in their home to provide one-on-one service in a comfortable and familiar setting
• Assist with the patients’ activities of daily living as well as personal care
• Provide companionship care and basic emotional or psychological support
• Adhere to the patient’s established plan of care
• Execute the physician prescribed plan of care and maintain compliant documentation of care provided in the system of record
• Monitor vitals (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) according to plan of care
• Maintain records and documentation of daily services
• Communication with the patients’ family, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health and care of the patient.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current CPR certification
• Current First Aid certification
• TB test & physical examination
• Ability to monitor vital signs
• Good interpersonal skills
• Caring and compassionate personality
• Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients
• Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of caregiving experience
