Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Victoria North is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist in patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The role does not include administering medications or independent patient care responsibilities and follows PAM Health policies and guidelines.

Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification as required by state; and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under the supervision of an RN or LVN/LPN.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient comfort as directed.
• Follow PAM Health policies and guidelines; no independent medication administration or therapy.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: None required. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
