Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Pensacola, FL is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for PRN/Per Diem 12‑hour day or night shifts. Compensation is $21.50 per hour, plus a $1,250 sign‑on bonus.

• High school diploma/GED OR 3+ years of related work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or related field.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, oral hygiene, and hair care.
• Conduct hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with moving them.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, bedpans, urinals, and equipment.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
