Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Panama City, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time night shift. You will provide compassionate care, assist with activities of daily living, and support post-ICU recovery patients.

The role offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus, pay between $16.73 and $22.50 per hour plus weekend shift differential, plus growth opportunities, extensive orientation, RN scholarship, clinical ladder, PTO, 401(k) matching and health plans.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or actively enrolled RN student considered.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience (3+ years).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, oral hygiene, feeding and grooming.
• Participate in hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with mobility.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and patient rooms.
• Keep unit stock levels in order as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
