Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our patient-centered care team.

You will bathe, assist with feeding, rounds, transport patients, and maintain a clean, orderly unit. This PRN/Per Diem role offers 12-hour shifts, day or night, and a $1,250 sign-on bonus.

This position requires a High school diploma or GED, hospital CNA experience or certification, and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification (or related field).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
