Job summary

Select Specialty Daytona Beach is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our PRN/Per Diem team on 12-hour shifts. You will assist with bathing, feeding, rounds, transport and maintaining patient comfort for critically ill, post-ICU patients in a high‑caliber care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification, or related field (e.g. medical assistant)
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Bath patients using basin-less products, assist with oral hygiene and feeding
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with moving them
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and instruments
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
