Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist with unit and patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role involves basic caregiving tasks, documenting care, and supporting the health team.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and current BLS certification. Willingness to obtain CNA training within 6 months and maintain good standing with NC DHHS.

Qualifications

• Listed with NC DHHS Division of Health Service Regulation in good standing.
• Willingness to obtain CNA 1+4 Skills within 6 months of hire.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)is responsible for assisting with unit/patient care needs under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required unless a current high school student participating in the CATS program for the NC
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required through American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Listed with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation in good standing.
• Willingness to obtain CNA 1+4 Skills within 6 months of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
