Job summary

Iredell Health System seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support unit and patient care needs under the direction of a registered nurse. The CNA has access to patient health information and assists with routine duties as assigned, following established policies and safety guidelines. Schedule: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (36 hours per week).

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for assisting with unit/patient care needs under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required unless a current high school student participating in the CATS program for the NC
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required through American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Listed with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation in good standing.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
