Job summary

Resthaven in Holland, MI is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate team serving older adults. You will follow individualized care plans, assist with grooming, bathing, feeding, mobility, and daily activities while maintaining dignity and privacy.

We offer sign-on bonuses for full-time and part-time positions, tuition reimbursement after 6 months, and no mandatory overtime. Current Michigan CNA certification is required, with training provided if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Michigan CNA certification required.
• Must hold current Michigan CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow individualized care plans and provide services per plan.
• Assist with grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting and mobility.
• Lift, move and transport residents as needed.
• Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and comfort during care.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
• Observe and report changes to licensed staff.
• Answer residents' requests promptly.
• Perform vital signs and basic tasks as assigned.
• Float between units as needed to meet resident care needs.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Pay Range

Employment Type & Schedule

• 1st Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)
• 2nd Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm)
• 3rd Shift (11:00pm - 7:30am)

Essential Responsibilities as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• Learn and know individualized care plans for residents and provide services to resident according to care plan.
• Provide assistance or total care for grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, turning, repositioning, or other needs.
• Lift, move, and transport residents.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services.
• Clean and sanitize workrooms, equipment, and resident units.
• Ensure compliance with established infection control procedures.
• Observe, chart, and report changes in resident condition or behavior to appropriate licensed nursing personnel.
• Answer resident’s requests for service promptly.
• Perform various tasks including vital signs, resident’s weights, applying creams/ointments, collecting specimens, etc.
• Float between all units depending on the need.
• Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned.

Education, Training, Experience

• High school graduate or successful completion of GED.
• Successful completion of a Michigan state approved nurse assistant certification course or other education that meets state certification requirements.
• Must hold current nurse assistant certification in Michigan.

Required Licenses, Registration, and/or Certifications

• Successful completion of a Michigan state approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or other education that meets state certification requirements.
• Must hold current nurse assistant certification in Michigan.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and assist residents throughout your shift
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Use mechanical lifts and clinical equipment safely
• Maintain visual acuity and physical stamina required for resident care
