Job summary

Resthaven is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Holland, MI to provide compassionate resident care across shifts. The role supports individualized care plans, including grooming, bathing, hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance, while ensuring dignity and privacy for each resident.

Responsibilities include vital signs, charting, infection control, and prompt response to resident needs. Full-time and part-time options available; training and CNA certification cost coverage offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of a Michigan state approved nurse assistant certification course or other education that meets state certification requirements.
• Must hold current nurse assistant certification in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Learn and know individualized care plans for residents and provide services to resident according to care plan.
• Provide assistance or total care for grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, turning, repositioning, or other needs.
• Lift, move, and transport residents.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services.
• Clean and sanitize workrooms, equipment, and resident units.
• Ensure compliance with established infection control procedures.
• Observe, chart, and report changes in resident condition or behavior to appropriate licensed nursing personnel.
• Answer resident’s requests for service promptly.
• Perform various tasks including vital signs, resident’s weights, applying creams/ointments, collecting specimens, etc.
• Float between all units depending on the need.
• Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned.

Pay Range

Pay is based on experience and applicable licensure

Employment Type & Schedule

• 1st Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) | Every Other or Every Weekend
• 2nd Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm) | Full-Time, Part-Time
• 3rd Shift (11:00pm - 7:30am) | Part-Time

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and assist residents throughout your shift
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Use mechanical lifts and clinical equipment safely
• Maintain visual acuity and physical stamina required for resident care
