Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Neurology team in Springfield, Oregon. This full-time role (0.90 FTE) offers day shift responsibilities and opportunities to care for patients recovering from neurological conditions with compassionate, patient-centered care.

You will work closely with nurses and therapists, performing routine care, monitoring vitals, and helping patients regain strength while documenting care accurately in the chart.

Qualifications

• Oregon CNA license required on hire
• BLS certification required on hire (AHA/ARC)
• Knowledge of age-specific care principles and adapting care

Responsibilities

Pay Range: $22.35 - $33.16/hour

The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

What You'll Do

As a CNA on our Neurology team, you'll help patients feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout their care journey.

In this role, you will:

• Assist patients with daily care needs such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and meals.
• Help patients safely move, walk, transfer, and participate in mobility activities.
• Take and record vital signs, fluid intake and output, and other important patient information.
• Observe changes in a patient's condition and promptly communicate concerns to the nursing team.
• Support treatments and basic nursing procedures within your scope of practice.
• Offer reassurance, emotional support, and compassionate care to patients and families.
• Keep patient rooms stocked and organized to support efficient care delivery.
• Document care accurately in the medical record.
• Provide occasional unit support, including answering phones, processing orders, and assisting with clerical tasks.
• Contribute to a welcoming, respectful, team-oriented environment.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license upon hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire
• Knowledge of age-specific care principles and the ability to adapt care for each patient's unique needs

Preferred

• One year of CNA experience, ideally in acute care or hospital setting
