Job summary

MaineHealth's Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland, ME, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant II for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This part-time, day-shift role supports RN-led care and helps deliver essential nursing assistance in a high-acuity NICU setting.

The CNA II will perform direct and indirect patient care duties, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with the care team to meet the specialized needs of neonates and their families.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current CNA or LNA license required. BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: At least six months of CNA/LNA experience required; familiarity with CNA I duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Perform a variety of direct and indirect care duties as part of the care team.

Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant II role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified (CNA) or Licensed (LNA) Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: At least six months of CNA/LNA experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions, clinical competencies and clinical knowledge of a Certified Nursing Assistant I.

The pay range for this position is $20.68to $25.10 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
