Responsibilities of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs)

• Perform personal care activities as assigned by the Registered Nurse (RN), including assisting with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and physical transfer.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment, including light cleaning and straightening of the bathroom, sleeping, and living areas, washing dishes or laundry, to ensure safety and cleanliness for the patient or client.
• Measure intake and output of fluids, and monitor temperature, pulse, respiration, or blood pressure.
• Keep records of personal healthcare activities.
• Observe and report any appearance or behavioral changes in the patient or client to the RN.

Requirements for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs)

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in home care preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

• Current, valid Pennsylvania CNA license OR 75-hour Home Health Aide Certificate
• PPD or QuantiFERON Gold TB Test
• Valid Driver's License
