Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Tampa is seeking Home Health Aides (HHA) or CNAs to deliver compassionate in-home care to clients in the local area. You will follow a registered nurse's plan of care, assist with daily activities, meals, mobility, and offer companionship to help seniors stay independent at home.

We provide weekly pay, a range of shifts (4–12 hours), benefits, and a supportive care team to help you thrive in your role.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year work experience.
• Current HHA certificate (40-hour course) OR CNA License OR 1-year hands-on experience as caregiver/HHA.
• BLS CPR certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services, household support and companion care per written plan of care.

Pay Range: $17-19/hour

Qualifications for a Home Health Aide (HHA)/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):

• Minimum one year work experience
• Current HHA - Home Health Aide certificate (at least 40-hour course) OR CNA License OR 1-year of hands on experience working as a caregiver or Home Health Aide (HHA)
• BLS Certified CPR (must be American Red Cross, American Heart Association, HSI, or American Healthcare Academy)
• Level II Background Check (Information regarding the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse can be found at https://info.flclearinghouse.com/)

What you'll do:

• Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you’ll provide personal care services, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home.

As a BAYADA HHA, you’ll have the opportunity to develop close relationships with your clients while you help them with:

• Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making etc.
• Meal preparation and feeding
• Range of motion/exercises
• Assisting with ambulation (Transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)
• Medication reminders
