Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Florida is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support clients in Tampa, Carrollwood and surrounding communities. You will follow a nurse’s plan of care, assist with daily living activities, and help patients stay safe and independent at home.

We offer benefits, weekly pay, flexible 4-12 hour shifts, training, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year work experience in caregiving
• Current HHA certificate (40-hour) OR CNA license OR 1 year hands-on caregiving experience
• BLS CPR certification (American Red Cross, American Heart Association, HSI, or American Healthcare Academy)
• Florida background screening clearance required

Pay Range: $17-19/hour

Qualifications for a Home Health Aide (HHA)/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):

• Minimum one year work experience
• Current HHA - Home Health Aide certificate (at least 40-hour course) OR CNA License OR 1-year of hands on experience working as a caregiver or Home Health Aide (HHA)
• BLS Certified CPR (must be American Red Cross, American Heart Association, HSI, or American Healthcare Academy)
• Level II Background Check (Information regarding the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse can be found at https://info.flclearinghouse.com/)

What you'll do:

• Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you'll provide personal care services, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home.

As a BAYADA HHA, you'll have the opportunity to develop close relationships with your clients while you help them with:

• Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making etc.
• Meal preparation and feeding
• Range of motion/exercises
• Assisting with ambulation (Transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)
• Medication reminders
