Job summary

Sandy Health and Rehab in Sandy, Utah is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our night shift from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. This skilled nursing and rehabilitation community emphasizes compassionate, resident‑centered care and opportunities for professional growth.

You will administer medications per physician orders and care plans, document in the eMAR system, monitor inventories, and coordinate with licensed nursing staff to support safe, high‑quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze and interpret basic info in English.
• CMA certification required and CPR certified.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

What you'll do:

• Maintain medication carts and supplies; monitor inventory and reorder as needed
• Accurately document all administrations in the Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) system
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and resident care plans
• Observe residents and promptly report changes, concerns, or needs to licensed nursing staff or appropriate department leaders
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support resident care and team operations

What we're looking for:

• Read, analyze, and interpret basic scientific and technical information in English
• Communicate clearly and effectively in spoken English
• Perform basic math, including calculations with standard and weight measurements
• Demonstrate empathy and strong customer service skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification required
• Long-term care or geriatric experience preferred
• Current CPR certification required
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50-100 lbs. and assist with resident handling
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in environments with exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases
