Job summary

Sandy Health and Rehab in Sandy, Utah is seeking a Part-Time NOC Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care, administer medications, and document treatments in a supportive, team-focused environment.

You will ensure proper medication storage and safety, communicate with physicians about patient responses, and assist in orienting new staff while adhering to infection control policies. This role emphasizes compassionate geriatric care and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current active RN license in the state of employment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English-language medical information.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines.
• Record time spent performing individual treatments, per policy, on the medication/treatment record.
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Notify the physician of refusals, non-compliance with treatment plans, and adverse reactions with prompt notification.
• Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat and properly stored/ disposed of.
• Assist in orientation and training of new nursing personnel as required.
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control and safety policies.

What you'll do:

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines

• Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a trereatment plan, and resi dent response to medication regime with prompt notification to the physician of any adverse reactions
• Keeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly/disposing
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for:

• Current active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
• Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as lift/push/pull 50lbs
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
• Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred
