Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando South in Orlando, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time night shifts. The role involves compassionate patient care, hourly rounds, and assisting with transport and daily living activities in a critical illness recovery setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and other daily activities.
• Perform hourly rounds to monitor patient needs and safety.
• Assist transporters and move patients between treatment areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and patient rooms.
• Keep unit stocked with supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
