Select Specialty Hospital Milwaukee - West Allis is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time day shift in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You will provide direct patient care, assist with activities of daily living, and support patient safety during rounds and transport.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a CNA or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, oral care, and hygiene.
• Perform hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and equipment; restock supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
