Job summary

Park Place Health and Wellness Center in St. John, IN is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the full-time Evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM).

The CNA will work closely with staff to provide resident-centered care consistent with each resident's needs. Responsibilities include assisting with dressing, bathing, toileting, mobility, transferring, reminders for medications, bed care, responding to call lights, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Indiana CNA certification required.
• Experience in long-term care is a plus but not required.
• Must pass physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and reference check.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, bathing, toileting, walking and transferring.
• Remind residents about medications and assist with medication reminders as applicable.
• Make beds and respond to call lights; document care provided.

Summary of essential job functions:

The primary role for this position will work closely with fellow staff members to provide assistance and care to our residents in accordance with their needs. Typical activities that you will assist our residents with include, but are not limited to, dressing, bathing, toileting, walking, and transferring. Additional job responsibilities include but are not limited to reminding of medications, making beds, responding to call lights, and documentation of your work.

Requirements

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Indiana.
• Previous experience in long-term care is a plus but not required.
