Job summary

Astral at Auburn is seeking compassionate care professionals to support residents with daily living activities, hygiene, and mobility in a community setting. You will assist with meals, medication reminders, and social and spiritual activities while monitoring residents’ wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED.
• Licenses/Certifications: Certified Nursing Certification may be required depending on state regulations.
• Experience: 1+ year of paid or volunteer experience working with seniors preferred.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders in accordance with care plans and community policies.
• Assist residents with lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
• Assist with dining room services at mealtimes, including set-up, clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
• Monitor residents' physical and cognitive wellbeing and report changes to the nurse and supervisor.
• Deliver nutritional supplements to residents at assigned times and document intake as required.
• Participate in life enrichment programming and provide meaningful activities to residents.
• Document resident care timely and accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.

Position Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for promoting the dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, choice, and rights of the residents at the community. This role involves assisting residents with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and social and spiritual pursuits. This position will render personal care to residents and monitor their physical and cognitive wellbeing.

Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders in accordance with care plans and established community policies and procedures.


• Assist residents with lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.


• Assist with dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up, clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
