Montclair in Illinois is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our senior living community offering Assisted Living and Memory Care services. You will provide hands-on care, help with activities of daily living, and promote dignity, independence, and quality of life for residents.

The role involves supporting residents with memory care needs, monitoring changes, and collaborating with a dedicated care team to ensure personalized, safe care in a warm environment.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in good standing with the state.
• Experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care settings preferred.
• Experience with residents with dementia or cognitive impairments preferred.
• Ability to assist with mobility and ADLs safely.
• Strong communication and teamwork with care staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicatedCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA)to join our healthcare team in asenior living community offering Assisted Living and Memory Care services. In this role, you will provide hands-on care and support to residents, assisting with activities of daily living while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.

As a key member of the care team, you will help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for residents, including those living withAlzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Your compassion, attentiveness, and teamwork will play a vital role in ensuring residents receive personalized care that meets their physical, emotional, and social needs.

Duties

• Provide direct care and assistance withactivities of daily living (ADLs)including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, and mobility.
• Support residents in maintainingindependence and dignitywhile ensuring safety and comfort.
• Assist residents with transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics and equipment such as gait belts or mechanical lifts when needed.
• Observe residents for changes inphysical, emotional, or cognitive conditionand promptly report concerns to the nursing team.
• Document care and observations accurately in the community’s electronic health record system.
• Provide compassionate care and engagement for residents inMemory Care, including those living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
• Utilizeperson-centered dementia care approachesto redirect behaviors, reduce anxiety, and support residents experiencing cognitive impairment.
• Assist withstructured activities, social engagement, and daily routinesdesigned to enhance quality of life for memory care residents.
• Support medication administration under the supervision of licensed nursing staff in accordance with community policies and state regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, life enrichment staff, dining services, and other departments to ensure coordinated resident care.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificationin good standing with the state.
• Previous experience inAssisted Living, Memory Care, long-term care, or senior living communitiespreferred.
• Experience working with residents living withAlzheimer’s disease, dementia, or cognitive impairmentsstrongly preferred.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility, transfers, and physically demanding tasks safely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Compassionate, patient, and service-oriented approach to caregiving.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment while maintaining resident confidentiality and dignity.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety protocols preferred.
