What you will do in this role:

1. Perform patient care responsibilities considering the needs specific to the patient's age and condition.
2. Provide morning care, including bed baths, showers or whirlpool, oral hygiene, hair care, back care, changing linens, cleaning bedside tables, and room organization.
3. Provide evening care, including face and hand washing, oral hygiene, back rubs, peri-care, linen changes, and room tidying.
4. Prepare patients for meals, serve and remove trays, and assist with feeding as needed.
5. Respond to patient call lights, anticipate needs, and conduct rounds to assigned patients.
6. Assist with handling personal property such as dentures, glasses, hearing aids, and prosthetic devices.
7. Report and document any changes in patient condition or behavior and any incidents.
8. Assist licensed nursing staff with treatment procedures.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a nursing assistant training course
• Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant
• CPR/BCLS Certification
• Minimum six months experience in an acute or long-term care facility (preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
