We are hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - FT Nights for one of our clients in Penn Yan, NY.

Job Description

Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, performs direct and indirect resident care within the scope of practice as defined by certification. The CNA must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to patients of various ages, including understanding growth and development principles, assessing patient data, and interpreting information to meet individual needs.

  • Meet residents' ADL needs as outlined in the care plan, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, elimination, turning, skin care, etc.
  • Complete documentation per protocol.
  • Maintain resident environment and safety, including answering call lights promptly, ensuring safety measures, and monitoring equipment.
  • Meet residents' nutritional needs, including meal delivery, tray preparation, feeding, and respecting preferences.
  • Address rehabilitative needs such as ROM exercises, ambulation, transfers, and proper positioning, with documentation.
  • Report residents' rights, refusals, and concerns promptly.
  • Identify and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial status.
  • Handle occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens and potential contact with bodily fluids or tissues.
Qualifications
  • NYS Nursing Assistant Certification + BLS (AHA or RQI)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year LTC or CNA experience
Work Hours
  • Full-time nights, 10 pm - 6 am, 37.5 hours per week
  • Every other weekend and holidays required
