Job summary

Willamette Valley Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Endoscopy Technician to join our Endoscopy team in McMinnville, OR. The role combines direct patient care with technical support throughout procedures in a fast-paced setting.

Under RN supervision, you will prep rooms, assist with endoscopy, reprocess equipment, re-stock supplies, and ensure infection prevention and safety standards are met. Call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active CNA certification; CMA/OR Tech acceptable.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced endoscopy setting.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and technical support during endoscopy.
• Assist with patient prep, procedure setup, and post-procedure turnover.

How You’ll Contribute

A Certified Nursing Assistant/ Endoscopy Tech who excels in this role:

Responsible for providing direct patient care and technical support throughout the endoscopy procedure process. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team, this position assists with patient preparation, procedure room setup, equipment reprocessing, specimen handling, and post-procedure turnover to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

The CNA/Endoscopy Technician supports infection prevention standards, maintains endoscopy equipment and supplies, assists with patient transport and positioning, and contributes to a positive patient experience by providing compassionate care and clear communication. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to regulatory and safety requirements, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.

• Provides direct personal care under the supervision of the RN within the scope of practice of the Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Participates as a contributory member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Completes all documentation within departmental regulations and guidelines. Demonstrates competency in scope cleaning and following manufactures guideline.
• Participates in the responsible management of all departmental/hospital resources, which includes endoscopy supplies and equipment.
• Assists in the Endoscopy lab as an endoscopy technician. Sets up, cleans and processes equipment. Restocks supplies in the Endo suite. Assists with department inventory when needed.
• Must be available to take call at variable times.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for endoscopic procedures.
• Clean, disinfect, and reprocess endoscopes and accessories according to manufacturer guidelines and facility policy.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
• Support teamwork and department staffing needs while maintaining professional communication and customer service standards.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant CNA Required, or CMA/OR Tech.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 3 months of hire.

Schedule:

Mon-Thurs 6:00AM-2:30PM (Call required every 3-4 weeks Sat & Sun 7:00A-7:00PM) No weeknight or overnight call.
