Job summary

Willamette Valley Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Birthing Center in McMinnville, OR. The full-time days shift offers competitive hourly wages and comprehensive benefits.

As a CNA, you will provide basic patient care under RN supervision, assist with newborn care and screenings, support family-centered care, and uphold safety and security policies throughout the unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Oregon CNA license.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs, intake/output, blood glucose testing, and assistance with daily living activities.
• Observes and reports changes in patient condition and provides comfort and emotional support.
• Assists with newborn care, hearing screenings, metabolic screenings, weights, measurements, and family-centered care practices.
• Maintains newborn testing equipment and supplies.
• Promotes a compassionate, respectful environment for patients and families.
• Encourages family involvement in care and communicates effectively to support a positive patient experience.
• Responds to patient and visitor needs while protecting privacy and confidentiality.
• Supports newborn security and unit safety policies.
• Monitors visitor access and compliance with security procedures.
• Reports safety or security concerns promptly.
• Participates in infant security drills and collaborates with the healthcare team to maintain a safe environment.

Education
