Job summary

Optimacare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support residents in daily living activities at our Cedar Grove, NJ location. The role involves assisting with meals, hygiene, mobility, and vital documentation, with a focus on compassionate, compliant care.

Qualified applicants will hold a NJ CNA license, be able to provide patient-centered care, and may have 1 year of CNA experience. We offer a sign-on bonus and tuition reimbursement after 90 days for NJ-certified CNAs.

Qualifications

• NJ CNA license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including meals, turning, and mobility.
• Help residents with personal hygiene.
• Observe residents and report health issues to the supervising nurse.
• Document resident food and fluid intake.
• Assist residents with feeding and nutritional supplements.
• Make beds and keep living areas clean and tidy.
• Transport residents within the facility.
• Assist nurses and other staff as needed.
• Follow facility policies and maintain confidentiality.
• Adhere to federal, state and local requirements.
• Maintain privacy of residents and facility data.

Sign on bonus of $1,000 paid at $250 a quarter over a 12 month period

- We also offer Tuition Reimbursement after 90 days of employment for CNA's who received their NJ state certification.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Residents with daily living activities, to include, delivering meals, turning and ambulating residents and providing plenty of fluids and nourishment meals throughout scheduled shift

• Help Residents with personal hygiene

• Observe Residents and report any health issues to the supervising nurse

• Document Resident food and fluid intake

• Assist Residents with feeding and serving nutritional supplements

• Making the Resident's beds and keeping their living areas clean and tidy

• Transport Residents within the facility

• Assist nurses and other staff as needed

• Adhere to professional standards and follow all facility policies and procedures

• Abide by all federal, state and local requirements and standards

• Maintain the confidentiality of all Residents and Facility data

Experience:
