Job summary

Optimacare in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist Residents with daily living activities, meals, mobility, and personal care. You will work under the supervision of the nursing team to monitor health status and report issues promptly.

The role offers a flexible schedule along with a sign-on bonus of $1,000, paid quarterly, and tuition reimbursement after 90 days of state certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid NJ CNA certification.
• Ability to assist with daily living activities with empathy.

Responsibilities

• Assist Residents with daily living activities including meals, transfer, and mobility.
• Support personal hygiene and daily grooming of Residents.
• Observe health status and report concerns to supervising nurse.
• Document intake of food and fluids accurately.
• Assist with feeding and administration of nutritional supplements.
• Keep Resident rooms clean and orderly.
• Transport Residents within the facility.
• Support nursing staff as needed.
• Follow facility policies and professional standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of Residents and facility data.

Job description

Sign on bonus of $1,000 paid at $250 a quarter over a 12 month period

We also offer Tuition Reimbursement after 90 days of employment for CNA's who received their NJ state certification.

Duties and Responsibilities;

• Assist Residents with daily living activities, to include, delivering meals, turning and ambulating residents and providing plenty of fluids and nourishment meals throughout scheduled shift
• Help Residents with personal hygiene
• Observe Residents and report any health issues to the supervising nurse
• Document Resident food and fluid intake
• Assist Residents with feeding and serving nutritional supplements
• Making the Resident's beds and keeping their living areas clean and tidy
• Transport Residents within the facility
• Assist nurses and other staff as needed
• Adhere to professional standards and follow all facility policies and procedures
• Abide by all federal, state and local requirements and standards
• Maintain the confidentiality of all Residents and Facility data

License:
