Job summary

Resthaven in Michigan is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for part-time shifts across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. We offer $16.50–$20.00 per hour plus shift differential and a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

If you don’t yet have CNA certification, Resthaven will cover the cost and provide the training you need to succeed. We value compassionate care and a supportive, faith-centered workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Michigan CNA certification course completed.
• Current CNA certification in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Learn individualized care plans and provide services per plan.
• Assist with grooming, bathing, hygiene, feeding, toileting, transfers, and mobility.
• Lift, move, and transport residents while maintaining dignity.
• Keep resident rooms clean and sanitized; follow infection control procedures.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to licensed staff.
• Respond promptly to resident requests for service.
• Perform vital signs, weight checks, and apply creams or ointments as needed.
• Float between units as needed and support the care team.

Pay Range

• $16.50 - $20.00 + Shift Differential
  • Pay is based on experience and applicable licensure

  • 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
  • 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
  • 3rd Shift (11:00 AM - 7:30 AM)

Essential Responsibilities as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• Learn and know individualized care plans for residents and provide services to resident according to care plan.
• Provide assistance or total care for grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, turning, repositioning, or other needs.
• Lift, move, and transport residents.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services.
• Clean and sanitize workrooms, equipment, and resident units.
• Ensure compliance with established infection control procedures.
• Observe, chart, and report changes in resident condition or behavior to appropriate licensed nursing personnel.
• Answer resident’s requests for service promptly.
• Perform various tasks including vital signs, resident’s weights, applying creams/ointments, collecting specimens, etc.
• Float between all units depending on the need.
• Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned.

Education, Training, Experience

• High school graduate or successful completion of GED.
• Successful completion of a Michigan state approved nurse assistant certification course or other education that meets state certification requirements.
• Must hold current nurse assistant certification in Michigan.

Required Licenses, Registration, and/or Certifications

• Successful completion of a Michigan state approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or other education that meets state certification requirements.
• Must hold current nurse assistant certification in Michigan.
