Job summary

St. Joseph's Living Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate daily care to residents at our Windham, CT facility.

The role involves assisting with ADLs, monitoring vitals, and supporting mobility under licensed nurses, with a focus on safety and dignity. We offer a sign-on bonus and a range of benefits for eligible positions, along with full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the CT state registry.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while promoting dignity and independence.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff promptly.
• Provide basic patient care under the direction of licensed nurses, including repositioning, transferring, and assisting with mobility to prevent falls and pressure injuries.
• Support residents' quality of life by fostering a positive, respectful environment and encouraging engagement in meaningful daily activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment by following infection control protocols, responding to call lights, and ensuring residents' comfort and safety throughout the shift.
