Job summary

Blessing Health System in Quincy, IL, seeks a CNA/PCA to assist with patient care activities under the supervision of the RN and in cooperation with nursing staff.

The role serves adult to geriatric patients, aligns with the hospital mission, and requires adherence to performance and safety plans as part of the care team.

Shifts are 7PM-7AM, 36 hours weekly, with weekend and holiday rotation, and pay ranges $18.16-$24.52 per hour with potential shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for CNA certification.
• CNA program completion or nursing program progress is acceptable.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing assistance with patient care activities and non-nursing tasks under the direct supervision of the RN and in cooperation with other nursing staff. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including adult through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement / Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; or, be of at least 16 years of age with an active C.N.A. certification.
• Must be one of the following:(N/A for PCA,SNA or PCT)
  • C.N.A
• PCA, SNA- Must have completed one of the following
  • Patient Care Experience
  • Completed a C.N.A. Program
  • Completed at least sophomore year of a nursing program

License/Certifications/Special Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant certification in good standing on the state Nurse Aide Registry, Certified Medical Assistant, or EMS. (N/A for PCA's,SNA's or PCT)
