MGA Homecare has been providing Private Duty Nursing, Skilled Nursing Visits, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy services within the home and community-based setting for over a decade. In 2022, MGA expanded to MGA Behavior Therapy, offering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and early behavior intervention for pediatric patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities within Colorado Springs and surrounding areas.

Job Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists in patient care under RN supervision, performing tasks with skill and safety, in accordance with standards of practice.

  1. Provide care per Physician’s orders/Plan of Care/Home Health Aide Assignment Sheet, including tasks such as:
  • Monitoring vital signs (pulse, temperature, respiration)
  • Assisting with prescribed exercises and range of motion
  • Documenting observations and tasks completed
  • Helping patients with mobility, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
  • Changing linens, laundry, and cleaning patient quarters
  • Running errands and preparing meals as requested
  • Collaborate with team members, communicate significant changes to RN Case Manager, and attend multidisciplinary meetings as needed.
  • Participate in mandated activities, support company mission, and adhere to policies and dress code.
  • Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely.
  • Qualifications

    • Graduation from an approved program or accredited school
    • Current, unencumbered CNA certification
    • Relevant professional experience as per state regulations
    • Pass screening/competency tests with 80%+ proficiency
    • Current TB results or Chest X-Ray, CPR certification
    • Flexible, organized, and able to exercise sound judgment
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 15 pounds regularly and occasional heavier lifts
    • Normal vision and hearing, with or without aids
    Work Environment
    • Care provided mainly in private homes with variable conditions
    • Potential exposure to household hazards, pets, chemicals, and environmental factors
    • Frequent travel required for home visits
