Qualifications/Educational Requirements for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• Certification and Licensing: Must provide an original, current, valid State of Florida license, or provide appropriate documentation as required by the state in which you are practicing, meeting the minimum qualifications.
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in direct patient/client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility), or three (3) years of full-time experience within the last five (5) years in direct patient/client care in an agency setting. Home health experience preferred.
• Skills: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Additional Requirements: Valid state driver’s license. Reliable automobile with current automobile insurance. Current health certificate/physical examination and TB testing results. Current CPR certification.
