Job summary

Cherokee Park Rehabilitation is hiring CNAs to join our long-term care and rehabilitation team. Responsibilities include bathing, feeding, dressing, ambulating residents, recording vital signs, and assisting nursing staff as directed in a home-like environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a current state CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Attend to residents' needs: bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Record vital signs, assist with lifting/moving, and transport residents.
• Report changes to nursing staff and communicate effectively with residents, families, and team.

CNA’s are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs, lifting, moving, and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.
• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to a nurse manager. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
• Communicating and interacting effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA
