Job summary

Cherokee Park Rehabilitation in Louisville, KY is seeking a CNA to provide compassionate resident care in a long-term care setting. Attend to bathing, feeding, dressing, ambulating, and assist with mobility while maintaining dignity and safety.

You will record vital signs, report changes to nursing staff, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and teammates. The facility offers growth opportunities, tuition assistance, and a supportive, home-like culture.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Record patient vital signs, assist with lifting, moving and transporting residents using proper body mechanics.
• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to a nurse management. Ask appropriate questions to clarify situations.
• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA’s are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.

• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs lifting, moving and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.

• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to a nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.

• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.

• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.

• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.

• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA
