Job summary

Grant Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Kentucky is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our care team on day and night shifts. You will provide hands-on care, assist with activities of daily living, and collaborate with nurses to ensure resident comfort and safety in a respectful environment.

Qualifications

• One year of CNA experience in long-term care preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Aide Assistant program.
• Current state CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Attend to residents' needs including bathing, feeding, dressing and ambulating.
• Take and record vital signs; assist with lifting and transporting residents with proper body mechanics.
• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to a nurse, asking questions to clarify.
• Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Assist the nurse with various duties as directed.
• Rotating holidays required.

Education

CNA's are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs lifting, moving and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.
• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to a nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.
• Rotating holidays required

CNA Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Aide Assistant program.
• Current state certification as a CNA
