Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Medical team at Big Muddy River Correctional Center in Ina, Illinois. CNAs provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under nursing, medical and psychiatric supervision, supporting hygiene, daily living needs and vital signs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification, and IL licensure; CPR/BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification required.
• CNA licensure in IL required.
• Training, experience or certification as a nurse’s aide, medical technician or mental health worker preferred.
• One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under supervision of nursing, medical and psychiatric staff.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the care team.
