Job summary

Centurion is seeking a Full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the medical team at Menard Correctional Center in Chester, IL. CNAs provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under the direction of nursing, medical and psychiatric staff, and assist with hygiene, daily living tasks and vital sign monitoring.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, an active Illinois CNA license, CPR/BLS certification and be able to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CNA certification and Illinois CNA licensure required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in correctional or medical settings preferred.
• Must be able to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under nursing/medical/psychiatric supervision.
• Assist with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the medical team.

Job Details: Job Location: Menard Correctional Center - Menard, IL 62259, Position Type: Full-Time, Education Level: High School Diploma/GED, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Medical Technician & Support, Hourly salary of $22.77+/hour.

We offer a $4 shift differential for evenings and $3 shift differential for nights.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our medical team at Menard Correctional Center located in Chester, Illinois.

CNAs work under the close direction of nursing, medical and psychiatric staff to perform direct patient care to incarcerated individuals. Assist patients by supporting personal hygiene, daily living needs and vital sign monitoring.

Full-time, Day Shift

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification required
• CNA licensure in Illinois required
• Training, experience or certification as a nurse’s aide, medical technician or mental health worker preferred
• One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency or correctional setting preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
