Job summary

Centurion is seeking a Full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Lincoln CC in Lincoln, Illinois. CNAs assist incarcerated individuals with personal hygiene, daily living tasks and vital sign monitoring under the direction of medical staff.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, CNA certification, and CPR/BLS certification. Prior healthcare or correctional experience is preferred, with eligibility for security clearance and background checks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification or other medical paraprofessional certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required or active.
• Ability to obtain security clearance, drug screen and criminal background check.
• Training/experience in nursing assistance, medical technician or mental health worker preferred.
• One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under supervision of nursing, medical and psychiatric staff.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
