Job summary

Regency Laurel Hill in Grants Pass, OR is seeking a dedicated CNA to provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights and individuality. You will follow care plans, assist with grooming, mobility and daily activities, and help maintain skin integrity while documenting observations in line with policy.

Responsibilities

• Follow individualized care plans and update care staff with changes and observations.
• Assist residents with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding and mobility.
• Maintain skin integrity with turning, repositioning and moisturizers.
• Protect resident belongings and report missing items per policy.
• Take vital signs and document care per department policies.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures and communicate with residents and staff.

As a CNA, you provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. You also provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

You Will:

• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.
• Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements
• Maintain each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.
• Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items according to established policy.
• Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting device to prevent accidents.
• Document care in keeping with department policies
• Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

You Currently:

• Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Have the ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.
