Job summary

Glenview Health and Rehab in Glasgow, KY is seeking a full-time CNA for night shift to provide compassionate resident care in a welcoming, team-focused facility across from TJ Samson Community Hospital. CNA duties include bathing, feeding, dressing, ambulation, recording vital signs, assisting with transfers, and promptly reporting changes to nursing staff.

Must have a current state CNA certification and at least one year of long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• Experience providing resident care such as bathing, feeding, dressing and ambulation.
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately.
• Ability to assist with lifting, transferring and positioning residents.
• Strong communication with residents, families, and staff.
• Report changes to nursing staff promptly.

Responsibilities

• Attend to residents' daily care needs including bathing, feeding, dressing and ambulation.
• Record and monitor vital signs; assist with moving and transporting residents.
• Recognize and report changes in condition to nurse management.
• Maintain professional communication with residents, visitors, and team members.
• Assist nurses with duties as directed.

CNAs are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.

• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs, lifting, moving, and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.

• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.

• Communicating and interacting effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.

• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.

• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA
