Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Florida is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to partner with a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in delivering safe, high-quality care to residents. Responsibilities include assisting with meals, personal care, mobility, hygiene, documentation, and ensuring residents' comfort and dignity.

Positions available: full-time, part-time and PRN with shifts from 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, and other weekend options.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be certified in the state or have CNA training and obtain certification within four months of employment.
• High school diploma or ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as required.
• Must meet local health regulations and pass post-employment exam if required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare residents for meals and assist with meal service, transport residents to dining and assist with feeding as needed, documenting intake immediately after consumption.
• Serve nourishments and between-meal snacks, distribute ice and water, and deliver pitchers to the Dietary Department for sanitation.
• Ambulate residents, assist with transfers in and out of chairs and wheelchairs, position bedridden residents per care plan.
• Provide personal care including bathing, oral care, grooming, and dressing.
• Make occupied and unoccupied beds and turn down beds for residents.
• Provide skin care and manage turn schedules with lotions and massages as needed.
• Answer call lights, respond to questions, provide appropriate care or alert supervisor as needed.
• Treat residents with dignity and observe all residents' rights and confidentiality.
• Attend mandatory in-services and maintain certification.
• Keep resident rooms tidy and organized; clean bedside tables and remove soiled linens.
• Remove soiled linens, rinse and transport dirty linens to laundry.

Emerald Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) who are committed to providing the very best and safest care to our patients/residents. This CNA will partner with a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to assist in providing the very best and safest quality of care.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Responsibilities:

• Prepare residents for meals and assist with meal service, transport residents to and from dining room, assist with feeding when necessary, and accurately document residents’ intake immediately after consumption

• Serve nourishments and between-meal-snacks to residents as ordered and distribute ice and water, rotating water pitchers and deliver pitchers to the Dietary Department for sanitation.

• Ambulate residents, assist residents in and out of chairs and wheelchairs, position bedridden residents according to plan of care, and utilize appropriate support devices

• Provide personal care to patients/residents, including bathing (bed, shower, tub, whirlpool) shampooing, combing hair, oral care, personal hygiene, shaving, nail care, and dressing

• Make occupied and unoccupied beds and turn down beds for residents

• Provide skin care – keep residents on turn schedule and use lotions and massages as needed

• Answer call lights and answer questions and respond, giving appropriate care or alerting Supervisor

• Treat residents with dignity and always observe all residents’ rights and confidentiality

• Attend mandatory in-services and maintain certification

• Straighten residents’ rooms and closets and clean inside of bedside tables

• Remove soiled linen, rinse in the hopper and transport dirty linens to laundry

CNA – Qualifications:

• MUST be at least 18 years of age

• MUST be certified in the state where applying or have successfully completed CNA training from a state-approved school and obtain certification within the first four (4) months of employment

• Completion of high school education or otherwise show ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions

• Must be able to work weekends and overtime as required

• Must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment exam if required
