Job Description
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential support to patients by assisting with activities of daily living and ensuring their comfort and safety. CNAs work under supervision of registered nurses or physicians, delivering compassionate and effective patient care. They create safe, therapeutic environments for developmentally disabled or mentally ill patients in long-term and acute settings.

International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. is recruiting CNAs to support our staffing projects in West Virginia. Depending on client needs, CNAs may work short-term, long-term, alongside client teams, or as part of our multidisciplinary groups. Roles may be in secured state facilities, remote locations, industrial sites, or clinics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting.
• Serve and feed patients per dietary needs.
• Enhance patient communication and support adjustment to new environments.
• Maintain clean patient environments, including changing linens.
• Monitor vital signs like blood pressure and temperature.
• Assist with mobility and transfers.
• Reposition bedridden patients to prevent bedsores.
• Provide physical and psychological support.
• Report health concerns or condition changes.
• Coordinate staff schedules and patient care assignments.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of direct patient care experience as a CNA.
• Experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, nursing homes.
• Experience in psychiatric or acute care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of mental health and physical conditions relevant to psychiatric care.
• Experience with pediatric and adult patients.
• Good standing with WV Nurse Aide Registry.

Education:

• Certified CNA in West Virginia.
• Completed state-approved and accredited training program.
• Current BLS certification from AHA.

Physical Requirements:

• Work in typical interior/office environment.
• Sitting, standing, bending, stooping, lifting up to 75 lbs.

Other Qualifications:

• Effective English communication skills.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Favorable recent registry and employment screening.
• Pass physical, drug, and alcohol screening.
• Up-to-date vaccinations as per contract.

Additional Information:

Pay: $15 - $20/hour, based on experience and benefits. Full-time benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, PTO, and bonuses. We are an equal opportunity employer.
