Job summary

Harbor Health & Rehab in East Chicago, IN is hiring a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident care and support in daily living activities.

You will document care in the PCC EMR, monitor vital signs, maintain a clean environment, and promote privacy and dignity. The role emphasizes high-quality patient and family interaction and compliance with HIPAA. Direct Pay and Daily Pay are available.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required by state law.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (meals, showers, grooming, mobility, toileting).
• Document patient care in PCC EMR.
• Maintain clean and organized resident environment.
• Monitor vital signs and weight; record intake and output.
• Protect privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA.

SUMMARY: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing resident care and support in all activities of daily living and ensures the health, welfare and safety of all residents.

CNA ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist our residents with activities of daily living including but not limited to: meal services, showers and grooming, assistance with abulation and toileting, patient safety, and charting
• Document all patient care in the electronic medical record system (PCC).
• Provide assistance with maintaining residents enviroment clean and organize.
• Maintain resident stability by checking vital signs and weight; recording intake and output information.
• Protect privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential; comply with HIPAA guidelines and related laws.
• Promote the highest level of customer experience at all times when interacting with family members, visitors, and co-workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with the laws of the state of practice.
• Long term care experience preferred.
