Job summary

Harbor Health is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality resident care in day-to-day activities. The CNA will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and maintain a safe, clean environment while upholding HIPAA standards.

Strong English communication is required, with prior long-term care experience preferred. The role emphasizes patient safety, dignity, and excellent service to residents and families, with responsibilities including charting in PCC EMR

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification as required by state laws.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (meals, showers, grooming, toileting) and document care.
• Record patient care in PCC EMR accurately and timely.
• Maintain residents' environment clean and organized.
• Monitor vital signs and weight; record intake and output.
• Protect privacy and confidentiality under HIPAA and related laws.
• Provide compassionate customer experience to family, visitors and coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing resident care and support in all activities of daily living and ensures the health, welfare and safety of all residents.

CNA ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist our residents with activities of daily living including but not limited to: meal services, showers and grooming, assistance with abulation and toileting, patient safety, and charting
• Document all patient care in the electronic medical record system (PCC).
• Provide assistance with maintaining residents enviroment clean and organize.
• Maintain resident stability by checking vital signs and weight; recording intake and output information.
• Protect privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential; comply with HIPAA guidelines and related laws.
• Promote the highest level of customer experience at all times when interacting with family members, visitors, and co-workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with the laws of the state of practice.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
